Oregon Caves Château 2007 Jessica and I celebrate 2 anniversaries each year; our Wedding Anniversary (May 1) and the Anniversary of our First Date (October 1). We don't exchange gifts, instead each of us is "responsible" for 1 of the anniversaries (typically she takes May and I take October). The idea is that we plan an event (a trip, dinner, bed/breakfast, etc...) and the other person is just "along for the ride" - they don't have to do any planning or paying just enjoy the trip. For my 2007 Anniversary Trip I took us to the Oregon Caves Château:

Jess and I prepare to leave for our Anniversary Trip.	This year we decided to take a bike trip to the Oregon Caves for an overnight stay in their Château.	We took to the back roads, stopping occasionally to enjoy the views...


...and occasionally just to figure out exactly where we were...	AH! Road signs!	When we got to the Chateau we discovered several BMW bikes parked out front.


The Raven with a group of BMW's.	Our room provided us with a perfect view of the Raven. Most times when we looked out at the Raven it had someone around it checking it out.	We just got out of an hour and a half of underground caving. The weather was cold when we went in, but we discovered it was raining when we came out.


We made it down the mountain in the rain, stopped for some delicious food at Taylor's Sausages and then bundled up for the long trip home (this picture was actually taken on a stop to add one more layer!)	I couldn't resist stopping at the truck scales to get the weight of the bike with sidecar, 2 riders and a full weekend of gear.	I am, after all, The Dark Knight!
